HUNTEX 2017 - LOCAL ARTIST EDWARD VAN DEN BERG EXCELS

Paul Roux Village resident artist had a very successful wildlife art exhibition at the Huntex 2017 Expo held at Gallagher Estate, Johannesburg.

Edward really caught the eye of the public with his display of mainly large 1.16m by 1.27m paintings and he sold 6 of them, and secured commissions for another 5 which he is now currently working on. Of real excitement are the international opportunities that have arisen from the event.

Ghost Walk / Spook Loop - Paul Roux Village 2016

Paul Roux Village is well known for its ghost stories, and not all the stories are distant past. Several of the residents in the village today have tales to tell of what they have personally experienced.
This event consisted of those attending dressing up in ghostly garb. At 7pm, we took a short easy walk through a part of the village and made 8 ghost stops - houses where a ghost story was told. The walk finished back at the Pink Tricycle Restaurant where snacks were served and a cash bar operated. There was then an 80's disco party in the restaurant whilst others enjoyed standing around the bonfire enjoying each others ghostly company.

Funds went to the Paul Roux Residents Forum.
