Paul Roux Resident's Forum Committee Chairman Richard Lewis has been nominated and selected as a finalist in the 2017 Eco Warrior Award:

Richard Gordon Lewis - Former Chairperson of the Board of WESSA
Richard
served for six years as vice chair and then seven years as Chairperson of the
Board of the Wildlife and Environment Society of SA (WESSA). Upon joining the
WESSA Board in 2002, he focused on driving the development of a new strategy
for sustainable growth that positively transformed the organization into a significant implementer of environmental and conservation . He has
given a vast amount of his time to caring for the earth, all on a volunteer
basis, has received several awards for his work and is patron of the National
Association of Conservancies / Stewardship SA. Richard is currently on the committee of the Gauteng - Regional Centre of Expertise officially acknowledged by the United Nations University in Education for
Sustainable Development.
The result will be announced on 14 June 2017
Richard, who recently received a Life Time Conservation Achiever Award from WESSA was also appointed as WESSA's first Ambassador. Here Richard receives the appointment by WESSA CEO Dr. Thommie Burger.
